這世界有兩種商業領袖,一種是企業家,另一種是商人。兩者到底有什麼分別?前者在追求利潤的同時,還著眼於創造,「從無到有」般創造出對社會有益的產品、服務和就業機會,而後者則較單純著眼於利潤。因此,很多人即使是商人,但未必能成為一個受敬重的企業家。
王維基2020年在自己的Facebook帳號上發表了一段感言,正好呼應著這種企業家精神。
王維基説:「連我自己都忘記了,六年前的十一月十九日,HKTVmall soft launch..... 一班儍強,由無到有、把『不可能』做成,這種成功的感覺是生命中最大的推動力。六年時間,我們證明了我們是『傻』,但我們是『最強』。」
王維基在他的創業路上,其實一直專注於挑戰「不可能」,正如他之前所說,無論是他開辦補習學校、做IDD、建造光纖網絡、做網購,很多人都在說不可能,但王維基都一一成功了,而一些人一生都在說「不可能」。

In 2020, Ricky Wong expressed his thoughts on his Facebook account, echoing this entrepreneurial spirit.
Ricky Wong said: “I even forgot myself, on November 19th, six years ago, HKTVmall soft launch..... A bunch of fools, creating from nothing, turning the 'impossible' into reality, this sense of success is the greatest motivation in life. Over six years, we proved that we are 'foolish', but we are 'the strongest'.”
Ricky Wong has always focused on challenging the “impossible” on his entrepreneurial journey, just as he said before. Whether it was opening a tutoring school, working in IDD, building a fibre optic network, or venturing into online shopping, many people said it was impossible, but Ricky Wong succeeded in each endeavour, while some people spend their lives saying "impossible.”
