【内捲襲港?】内地優才主動加班降薪 破壞香港職場文化?

近日内地網絡流傳一篇名為〈被港人「排斥」的內地優才:主動降薪和加班,捲翻香港職場〉的報道,該報道源自騰訊網「深圳微時光」公眾號。報道指,内地職場「内捲」文化,正經由近年來港的優才、高才傳入香港,並破壞了本港的職場文化!

「深圳微時光」公眾號訪問了幾位內地「優才」、香港本地員工及企業人力資源負責人(HR)。報道首先引述一名香港HR對內地來港同事(優才、高才)的抱怨,「該要價三五十萬,就要三五十萬,自降身價係咩意思?該收工就收工,CV(簡歷)上寫『24小時在線』係咩心態?」

而港人阿樂亦表示覺得「很煩」,公司新入職的內地優才「太喜歡無償加班」,又會在下班時間向其他人詢問工作。阿樂的公司老闆有一次酒後失言指,喜歡聘請內地人,因為他們會在公眾假期工作,亦不好意思請很多假。阿樂直言:「可唔可以唔好咁『(內)捲』?入鄉隨俗好難咩?正常打工唔好咩?」

亦有2019年已來港的內地優才被波及。李夢蕾指起初來港,是相中了香港的工作氛圍,不會「無效加班」。然而來港5年,隨著公司內的優才變多,職場文化變得越來越「捲」。她質疑,現在來港的優才「不是在比優秀,而是在比較誰更不把自己當人,誰更會折磨自己。」

根據美國科技公司KISI發表的《2022年工作與生活平衡城市》報告,在香港工作時間超過48小時的全職人士佔全職勞動人數17.9%,雖然較2020年的29.9%大幅下滑,但在「過勞城市」排行榜中仍位列第2,僅次於杜拜。未知内地的職場「内捲」文化,會否加劇香港工作過勞現象?

Recently, an article titled "Mainland Talents Being Rejected by Hong Kongers: Voluntarily Taking Pay Cuts and Working Overtime, Rat Race Overwhelming Hong Kong's Workplace" has been circulating on Mainland China’s social media. The story originates from Tencent's "Shenzhen Wei Shi Guang” public account. It suggests that the culture of intense competition in mainland workplaces is being brought to Hong Kong by recent mainland talents and highly skilled individuals, thereby disrupting the local workplace culture.

The "Shenzhen Wei Shi Guang" public account interviewed several mainland talents, local Hong Kong employees, and corporate human resources (HR) person. The report first cites a complaint from a Hong Kong HR about mainland colleagues coming to Hong Kong (thru QMAS or TTPS), "If the expected salary is three to five hundred thousand, then it should be three to five hundred thousand. What’s the meaning of voluntarily lowering their salary? If it’s time to clock out, they should clock out. What kind of mentality is it by putting 'available 24 hours' on a CV?"

Hong Konger Ah Lok also expressed his frustration, noting that the newly hired mainland talents at his company "love to work overtime without compensation" and often ask colleagues about work after hours. Ah Lok's boss once admitted while drunk, that he prefers hiring mainlanders, because they are willing to work on public holidays and are too embarrassed to apply for too many leaves. Ah Lok bluntly stated, "Can we stop the involution? Is it that hard to adapt to local customs? What’s wrong with working within regular hours?"

Li Menglei, a mainland talent who came to Hong Kong in 2019, has also been affected. She mentioned that she initially came to Hong Kong because of its working atmosphere, which did not involve "inefficient overtime." However, over the past five years, as more mainland talents joined her company, the workplace culture has become increasingly “involuted”. She questioned whether the new mainland talents coming to Hong Kong are competing not in excellence, but in a way to disregard their own well-being more and endure more self-inflicted hardship.

According to the "Work-Life Balance: Best Cities Worldwide in 2022”report published by KISI, 17.9% of full-time employees in Hong Kong work over 48 hours a week. Although this is a significant drop when compare to 2020 (29.9%), Hong Kong still ranks second on the "Top Overworked Cities" in the ranking, just behind Dubai. It remains uncertain whether the “involution” culture from mainland workplaces will exacerbate the overwork phenomenon in Hong Kong.
